I'm not sure U get what the concept you are after is... as far as I can tell, the "wiring" is fine, it's the programming and the operator competence that needs work.

Bad idea. It is already shown that when you give people control over their own body through pharmacological enhancement (i.e drugs) they will abuse the fuck out of it. Pleasure centers on full blast (opiates), staying awake for days because you feel great and awake (amphetamines) or numbing yourself with downers.

Or at least, I don't think people in general would act differently if you had a high level of control over parts of their brain.

I actually think it's pretty great and I'd do it, but I don't think most people would keep themselves in check.

I get that giving people access to parts can be hard to handle, but if you gave them the full package, you would literally have control of your whole essence.

But you're right, look at it in a different perspective and you see that you could have discipline/motivation at will (Something that dopamine also has control over). That would in turn be very productive.

In a certain sense, that's what college students (and myself included occasionally) basically do with they take some adderal to study.
