Lets say you were going to guide someone to /sci/ excellence. What curriculum would you have them follow and what books?
>>8776357
already a bunch of these
just follow your local large college or follow mit ocw
if you need help use kahn academy patrickjmt
>>8776357
I'd send them off to /sci/ public school.
>>8776383
that's retarded.
Basic Mathematics by Serge Lang would be the first read for math.
>>8776383
Don't know how well that would work.
That would result in a literate population that could understand a lot of the more complex mathematical concepts that most Americans would not otherwise care / know about.
However, from personal experience, someone who is great at the sciences has both the knowledge of their specific field and also the drive to push boundaries.
It does matter what you know, but what is even more important is what you do with that knowledge.

I think knowing at least the basics of Economics is extremely important, though.

You shouldn't learn it from mankiw thought

>The only /sci/ approved language is haskell (and maybe lisp).
/sci/ approves of a lot of languages:

If you can't get the full speed of your processor, why even bother programming your models?

everything wrong with young programers. where do you learn this? who is telling you that you can't write better machine code manually and why are you listening to them?

nice semi-hexa
it can be read from both ends
