What the fuck is going on? Literally, on the first page alone there are 8 threads which are either shitty bait, memes or /adv/ tier inquiry (mostly to do with education or employment).

And the remaining 6 aren't of outstanding quality either.

Did all of the brainpower drain into Stack Exchange?

Bots. They have been a problem on most of 4chan for some time now. The bot gets shared, smarter people use it, and create board depreciating threads that are pseudo-on topic enough that the staff are not deleting them when reported. It is systematic. Some janitors on some boards are exceptionally good at getting rid of crap (/out/ and /diy/ for instance.)

Then there are those that are merely contrarian about everything posted even when you post scientific papers to back up anything you say. Learn to recognize it and move on to something else more productive.
