Yes.
>>8710977
no, it's only going to grow more in the future.
>>8710977
Maybe

You mean studying to be a pharmacist?
Yes, it's gonna slowly die thanks to the internet.
Pharmacies will still exist, but they're not going to be very profitable.

What exactly do you mean when you say the internet is killing pharmacies?
>>8711011
Is getting a pharmacy degree pointless at this point? I don't really have the mindset of an engineer or programmer but I love maths and sciences.

As a kid who stumbled into undergrad pharm, what do?

>What exactly do you mean when you say the internet is killing pharmacies?
Where I live more and more people pre-order their meds/supplements etc from the cheapest pharmacy in a wide area. E-shops are a real think and they're gonna kill small mom and pops pharmacies that overcharge for everyhing.
Pharmacists are not going to disappear but running your own pharmacy will get a lot more expensive in terms of starting capital requirements and fewrer positions for pharmacists will be available.

if you mean someone who works at a pharmacy? no. people will always buy shit there, I know I was a pharmacist. It's a shit retail job in the end, though
if you mean someone who makes the drugs, like a pharmacologist/chemist/molecular biologist, or a chemist of sorts, then no, the market is there, especially biotech companies.
>go to pharmacy
>pharmacists knows more about the medication than my prescribing doctor does
I sure as hope fuck hope not. These guys are indispensable.
>>8711459
true, pharms are undervalued
>>8710977
It pays a lot but apparently is mindnumbing to be one because you just count pills to fill prescriptions.
>>8711894
That's not what a pharmacist does.
Seems like a boring job but it pays well and you dont have to really interact with people other than just filling prescriptions
>>8711459
A computer can do a better job than both when it comes to something so cut and dry as medication.
