Because scientists come from the upper class of society, and jews in the west make up around 20% of the upper class. That is also more or less there share of scientists in the west.

I think it might have some truth to it.

Although you made a lot of assumptions.

How differing languages make you think different thoughts I think is more tied to your experiences in those languages.

Sort of like how if you go for a walk with a friend, and talk about something specific while corssing a dog in someones yard, you might find yourself talking about the same thing when you both come back to the same spot on the way back.

Our brain loves to make associations. And the things you end up talking about or experiencing while speaking a different language, I think, might have a greater effect on how you feel/think when using that language.

Because you'll notice the attributes you gave to speaking a language 'french creates more passion' etc. are all things stereotypically associated.

I will confess English is an amazing language for poetry, I think mandarin is equally good/deep for it. Some languages do seem to lend themselves to certain kinds of word play.

But to my point, that's my own personal feelings/experience, due to experiences I've had with those languages.

Japanese, a language I don't consider very good for poetry, actually has my favorite poem. So, I think my view is subjective.

(露の世は露の世ながらさりながら) It's a haiku, a form of poem I don't even like. But this one just moves me incredibly because of the deeper meaning and the story behind it.

You can read it as if he's saying 'and yet, and yet, it seems so real' or 'feels so real at the time', you can read it as I do, that he's in torment and his religion has become meaningless in the face of true tragedy. Your poem reminds me of Sarte's play No Exit. Three people are stuck in a Hell-Purgatory type place in the afterlife, torturing each other psychologically due to their various personality quirks. Don't misunderstand me, I approached language purely from a mechanistic perspective and not the emotional or philosophical one you ascribed.

So when I say french is passionate I literally mean the words when spoken and thought in french convey more emotion, they roll around in your tongue, it's impossible to not say things in french without facial expression, empathy, lust.

English because of the word construction and concatenation is incredibly flexible and lithe. You can say a lot without saying anything at all, the sentence and word structure is prone to procrastination and needless exposition because of these words:

You can create an endless sausage of meaning and tie it off periodically with these little joiner words, so your thoughts in English can be vast and complex AND also completely empty and irrelevant.

Latin is very rude and filled with fun short rhymes and swears. All of the Latin root languages are filled with gallows humor and little proverbs and caricatures.

German is filled with some existential angst, words like Schadenfreude do not translate well, a sort of perverse joy in suffering. And the Asian root languages have their own similar quirks and foibles and features which distinguish their natural speakers culturally and is why we have such dizzying variety in dialect, custom, civilization, and belief systems.

Both of these languages are superior to English for practical purposes - creating a stable monolithic structure for humans to be weaned on and exist in perpetuity.

The cognition boost I am speculating these languages provide is minimal on an individual level, there is very little IQ different between rich white people and rich jews. They are smart primarily because they are rich, and this afford to them a superior education, which if they take advantage of:

I agree I think English particles are also a strength for one of the reasons you mentioned. While you might be able to construct a lot of words without saying anything at all, you can also construct elaborate concepts using the very same attribute. I'm a big fan of English and not just because I speak it. We don't imply as much as eastern languages, we spell it out thoroughly which although can lend itself to long diatribes and perhaps some unecessary length it also can be user for strength of clarity of complex abstract ideas etc.
