Hi, could sci give her opinion on the textbooks in pic related?

The course I'm starting gives an option to use either.

I have used a Steward calculas book before and it was pretty good but that was a while back.

they're awful.
anyone who says otherwise is pop sci loving engineer, who doesn't belong on this board

I think Spivak's and Apostol's texts on Calculus are good.

Stewart is good.

I learned on Apostol
John H Hubbard is good is probably my favorite for vector calculus.

Is The Calculus 7 by Louis Leithold good?

Stewart is good.

However, the greatest of all time Calculus book is from Courant and John.

Here's the deal OP.

A large group of sci (of which a good number ain't really serious when they say it) will tell you Stewart is a terrible book and refer you to other popular works.

While Stewart is not as rigorous as those other works, it doesn't mean it has no value and wont teach you Calculus.

I'd say Stewart is good. Although it is long and repetitive, it gets the point across after each chapter.

So if you don't feel quite ready to tackle the most rigorous textbooks, try Stewart.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
