So is 1500 hours as a trainee worth it? The pay is ~$16/hr around here as a tech (not trainee).
There aren't many other jobs. Anyone have experience as a tech

So you failed to get into med school?

I don't want to do med school

Yeah, with just a bachelor's in biochem, that's about what you can expect, with a couple years experience you could earn $20-25.
Look at it this way, you'd probably make a lot less than $16/hr waiting tables and this is at least tangentially helpful to your resume.

Do yourself a favor and keep it to yourself lel
I mean a sort of broad, cursory familiarity with common drugs is a bit of an asset if you want to do pharma later, and if you have nothing better or more remunerative to do. I considered it, but where I am the pay is fucking $12/hr everywhere I looked and it made more sense to stay as a stocker for 11.50 than to bother sitting the exam.

That takes several years of professional school and internships
