Why is chemistry so hated at schools? I love it, someone here loves too?
list some goddamn Chads who likes learning stoichiometry instead of chase girls

Taught by incompetent professors who understand the material, but do not understand how to convey it effectively
High school teacher was like this. Knew chemistry well, couldn't explain worth a damn. Wonder at all I kept up with it

Because it doesn't get interesting until late in the degree when things start to make sense.

For me, it's interesting since ever. When I was 11, I even had chemistry in that age, i already was interested in chemistry. But what you have said is true, for most people, chemistry doesn't make any sense

I've been looking for people to do some chemistry with, but it seems like everybody hates it
Feel like it isn't taught and introduced very well. No two intro Chem classes are the same. Where as math classes are usually the same in the end.
And growing up, you're shown that chemistry is about mixing chemicals and creating new ones ;))
But first few weeks of the class you're literally doing conversions you could use a calculator for and Sig Figs which students don't really like
The beginning of gen chem can be an entirely different world depending on your teacher. Some people don't all the physics involved. I started learning about Orgo before taking genchem and it kept my interest strong.

I love orgo, but in an autistic way. As in, I love talking about orgo, synthesis, theory, but never would I go out and buy the supplies needed to actually make something. It feels like a huge database of useless knowledge.

If I had a lab, I would love to buy reagents and synthesize medicines, dyes, flavors. I see a use for the it, almost everything around us is made with chemistry

Yeah same here. Of course I was always interested in chemistry since a young age, trying to make stuff at home with chemicals lol, but a lot of normal people don't appreciate until later when it all clicks.
