the red and blue triangles are not similar
old b8 but still
2/5 ≠ 3/8

I don't get it.
Why would the red and blue tiles have to be similar?
Isn't it the point, that the same set of 4 tiles seems to have different area in those two arrangements?
Because in one it obviously has the area of a rectangular triangle with sides 5x13 and in the other arrangement it has less.
I'm sorry but I still don't understand.

hypotenuse is not a straight line
>>860668
if they aren't similar the gradients of the hypotenuses are different, thus the big triangle isn't actually a triangle. If the two triangles were similar this wouldn't work.

the argument using a square is much clearer
I've been waiting to post this for ages.

How does this imply pi is 6 sqrt (3)?

That's actually pretty cool

There is no such thing as infinitely many iterations.
You will never end up with an actual circle.
Wildberger is right.

I am not sure how or why but I am 100% sure that this problem has something to do with real numbers.
Around reals never realax

If that folded up line fits in that space, then why don't lines have areas????
