I don't know if that's what he meant, but I still agree. It's not so much about there being no evidence for the big bang, there is a lot of evidence. The thing is that by far most people who keep referring to the big bang as the origin of the universe don't know shit about it. They just mindlessly repeat whatever they saw on some popsci show at best. Ask them how they know about the big bang and they will just stutter some inconsistent rubbish. So what's the difference between them and some bible freaks? At least latter know their source well.
