Hello you wise /sci/. Is it worth for an aerospace engineer to do a MSc in Air Traffic Management or Airport Planning? Can you even consider them engineering fields anyways?

I was just wondering if they can be a good studies for anyone to take (in terms of salary and work conditions). Obviously they seem appealing in terms of being interesting, but it seems much responsibility for an unknown but probably standard salary.

So whats it like knowing youll never get a job?
>>
Oh I'm not really worried since I'm not even an engineer, It was mostly curiosity. Tbh I don't even have a major (and doing ok so far).

Right now I could say that my only field of expertise are dank memes

Weird. I thought those were civil/transportation engineering disciplines

AeroE student here, there are people who do end up in ATC/piloting jobs but they are a distinct minority and you learn little on the course that is directly related on how you'd control an airplane as in what you'd do if I put you in a 747 cockpit right now. For example, I have a friend who wanted to become an air force test pilot (which was the reason why he joined the course because he was told he should get it by the air force)

Though, we learn a lot of mechanics of flight that'd be indeed useful as supplementary knowledge.

The field is going good senpai
>>
Airport planning is civil engineering

It might not be related at all, but it would not be the first job that is not engineering itself but is done mostly by engineers. I guess this is not the case then.

Is airport planning going good tho? There is not much more to do now, is it?
