Is this meme accurate? Should I really be studying this much?

If you don't thoroughly enjoy studying (and it sounds like you don't by your question) you should reconsider your academic plans.
>>8593406
i think it's inaccurate because you should be studying more than that
>>8593406
No, but you should be eating cheese.
If 1:2 isn't enough to be on the top 5% of students, you should clearly drop any academic studies now.

If you have time for this much study you are not doing enough subjects...
get your contact hours up, learn to study effectively, only spend 10 years in uni getting 2 degrees and a phd instead of 15.
>going to lectures
Are you in high school or smth?
If you don't already know the material via pure apriori conceptualization, then you should consider just joining the military

Came here to say this, I got through college just fine without studying more than going to lecture (ME/Physics double major in 4 years)
Everyone is different study however much you need. Best to air on the side of overstudying than understudying if you care about results.

I think you should realize by now that it's subjective.

this is a meme

Fucking this

I learn better from text books than lectures, so this is certainly true for me. However, that isn't saying much because I barely attended lectures.

>got through college just fine
If you're not doing your phd at mit then fuck off

>3:1 study time to lecture time
Unless your idea of studying is incredibly laid-back, I can't possibly imagine how spending that many hours studying could be sustainable.

this. most people when "studying" really aren't.
I do an hour for every lecture in semester time then go HAM during in study week/exam period ans it works fine. I'm a mega brainlet too
