What is the effect of age on learning?

What is the relationship of dog to man?
When taught correctly, children learn much easier than adults.
They also learn certain kinds of skills with less effort.
That means fuck all for most people though, as teaching isn't something that's properly done for kids until it's too late for that to matter anyway. More of a political thing to look into there though.

How was this post at all indicative of an alt right position? It was a general criticism of a lackluster education system you goddamn fool.
Anyhow, kids learn fast obviously. But us worthless old brains know how to be efficient and dedicated. It also depends on what you're trying to learn; language (and some other odd abilities like developing absolute pitch) can often only be mastered in childhood.
But soon we'll start using psychedelics to reopen that window ya dig ;)

It would've been pretty dope to be trained from a young age to do one thing or another.

It's a shame they never taught me that as a kid.

I don't really stay up to date on anything having to do with psychedelics, but I have seen a few floating articles about this.
Any actual demonstrable, empirical, peer reviewed studies of psychedelics being used to improve cognitive function out there? Or is it going to be opened up for study soon?
