Wait for your future self who has already made it to show up and tell you how. Just plan on making one some day and coming back to the present. Worked for me, no sooner had I said "one day, I'll come back to this moment with a time machine!" than my double from the future arrived. There was.... some unpleasantness and I ended up killing and eating him, but the machine works well.
