50% either you live or you dont

(5/6)*(4/5)*(3/4)*(2/3)=33%

It's a little vague.

If it means you trigger 4 times in a row, and there are 6 chambers, then there are 2 (out of 6) starting positions where you survive, and so the change is 1/3 or 33.333%

If you play proper Russian roulett, then surviving one round is (1-1/6) and for surviving n rounds is your must compute (1-1/6)^n, and for n=4 that gives 625/1296 or 48.225%.

Now, however, it really says "firing 4 out of 6", implying the for some mechanism you won't fire one chamber twice.
Then, for n=4, you must compute
(1-1/6)*(1-1/5)*(1-1/4)*(1-1/3)
and the results happens again to be 1/3 or 33.333%.
I made pic related for other n.

Now go back to r9k

Pro-tips for winning at Russian Roulette:
As >>8567840 pointed out, the chamber should be spun between each attempted shot.
Hold the pistol upright. DO NOT stop the chamber from spinning manually. When it naturally comes to rest, the weight of the bullet will more likely cause the live chamber to be at the bottom, away from the firing chamber.
From this it follows that you can increase both your survival odds, and the odds on the money you can win, by offering to play with two consecutive chambers loaded. Don't try for three (I'm telling you, from personal experience).
DON'T play Russian Roulette with an automatic pistol (again from personal experience).

Well you told us how many times it was fired, so if you went first you win and are not dead.

Only applies to singular events. It will either exist or it won't. Not probability, just logic. No need for the percentile in such cases.

It depends on whether you spin the chambers between trigger pulls or just pull the trigger sequentially. If it's the first, then (5/6)^4=48% chance you'll live. If it's sequential, then you can only start on the first or second chambers without reaching the sixth, so the chance you'll live is 2/6=33.333%.

All other answers are wrong.

My opponent too fires, and if he dies, I survive.
