really an intellectual giant, once in a generation

or did he get lucky?
>>
yea

He literally has understood how the universe works. He literally has discovered the limit speed in our Universe.

No one will get to his ankle.
>>

The funny thing is that he had no way to actually confirm that the speed of the light is indeed finite at the time, he really went out on a limb when he postulated that, that either means he was one lucky son of a bitch or he really did have genius insight.

Cis Withe male SCUM.
TRANS POWER!!

he was a brainlet

Well there was kind of an indication from Maxwell's equations. If you use them to form the wave equation for light then the speed comes out as depending only on fundamental electromagnetic constants, which don't seem to change depending on reference frame.

>The funny thing is that he had no way to actually confirm that the speed of the light is indeed finite at the time

According to this, people knew light had a finite speed since the late 1600s: http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/Relativity/SpeedOfLight/measure_c.html

Just re-read your comment.

The main thing wasn't that c was finite, that was already known as the other guy said, but that it was frame invariant.

Idiot.

didn't lorentz already show this?
>>
The genius thing wasn't that speed of light was finite or invariant, but rather how speed of light wasn't one of the speeds but rather the speed of casualty. We shouldn't really be talking about light as a couple of balls going in one direction but force which should have infinite range, and affect everything instantaneously were it not for the limit of casualty.
>>

>force
fuggg :D

Field but whatever. Our interactions with light at some point involve force.
>>
>>8560839
Heck, maybe

A lot of SR was already there to begin with, it just took Einstein to put it all together (or re-derive without realising it was already a thing).
>>
>>8560835
Are you saying that the invariance of the speed of light isn't one of the two principles of special relativity?

That's not the point moron.

Millennial identified.
>>
Special Relativity was kind of already there,Einstein just put the finishing touches on it

General Relativity, however was mainly his work

he's just your average glorified jewman mentored by other crypto jews and thanks to him south pole investigation halted forever.
all of his works are stolen and tailored to accomplish the globalisation meme that dismissed all of the thousand-year knowledge about the universe/firmament.

now we're stuck here glamoring about the "space age" meme that will never happen because gravity doesn't exist (only in textbooks and "meme greenscreen videos" your faggot eyes can' t even comprehend) and firmament is a 'biblical/ancient myth.'

Which is what the Maxwell equations imply. They are only conserved with a Lorentz transformation not a Galilean transformation.

Also you can determine C from the Maxwell equations.
