Why a day before an exam? There's no benefit to taking it for a test. You may feel like you did better than you would have without it, but it doesn't actually result in a higher mark.
It does work for studying obviously, but that's it and there can be annoying side effects if you aren't careful with dosage

I usually do a pretty good job of keeping up with the material throughout the semester, so when an exam comes around, I take the adderall a day before and do problems from the book or my notes and make my formula sheet. I'm not cramming or anything, just refreshing myself on all the material and it keeps me interested in my work for a extended period of time.

Not directly, it can make you sweat though. Ive heard of it causing cystic acne if you take too much because its pushing its way out of your body but that is retarded. Honestly I feel it should reduce acne if anything since it dehydrates you.
