what about it
Is that book not just a meme, but actually good?
I scraped by Linear Algebra this semester, and am pissed at myself. Over break want to read up on Linear Algebra.

>I scraped by Linear Algebra this semester
What kind of linear algebra?
>did pretty good for most of linalg this semester
>last two weeks of lecture, got sick
>missed a few lectures
>diagonilization, SVD, and spectral decomp kicked my ass hard on the final
>choked so hard that I actually forgot how to do LU decomposition
FUCK

What does your anons linear algebra course cover up to?
At the the end of LA this semester we covered representations of quivers as well as quadratic forms on graphs with of course the standard operator theory material for Hernitian and Euclidean spaces.

My school's second year maths is a 2 semester sequence in which you learn calc 3, diff eq and Linear algebra basically through Jordan canonical forms. There are, however, high level LA courses but I don't know if I plan to take them since scheduling is tight with a double major.
I'm also curious about the book, I have it, just haven't read much of it. Is it a good read?
>>8538061
It's actually good. Specially if you are getting into proofs.
>linear algebra
>conics on the cover
Fucking Dover
I'll try it

Are conics ever relevant?
Intersection of two surfaces sounds like LA, but I suppose a cone would be unavoidably non-linear?
>>8538024
Why does linear algebra book have light cones on its front page? Is it the algebra of Minkowiski space?

Should have googled first.

NOW PUT SOME RESPEC ON IT

net that I just found

That is a pretty small application considering the broad aspects related to linear algebra.
Could LA determine the intersection points on the cover?
If not, that's a really poor choice of cover.
