The point is more about this forum specifically rather than others. 4chan has never really been a forum in the traditional sense; the nature of imageboards is very different and always will be. Many of the reality-distortion effects also apply, perhaps to a greater degree on the more political/contentious boards. You can explain a one-off-point, much like I am, but the high rate of turnover and general posting culture ensures that whatever is conveyed will almost certainly be forgotten. It's just not meant to do that.

I was pretty against tv for my kids but theres this show on Nick Jr that teaches them about STEM stuff. Honestly when I was 3 I wish I had a show that taught me about momentum, potential energy, angular momentum, trajectories, etc

Its actually an incredible show but outside that hes not that interested in TV. The only other stuff he watches is SpaceX launched with me and videos of planes flying around and thats mostly because I'm air force

It's just a bright object with flickering lights that mesmerizes people. Humans are attracted for such things because it usually means fire or a body of water, which we would need to survive.


I wonder if TV would have the same mesmerizing effect if it wasn't back lit. Make a TV that generates no light. It would require a bright light be shown onto it for you to see, but I suspect the mesmerizing effect would vanish with such a TV set up.
