Because he wasn't smart, he was a platitude spouting autist who normies venerate because they love to LARP being intellectuals.
>>
>>8535473
if einstein is so smart, why is he dead?
>>
>>8535473
Not everyone learns to love math and that doesn't preclude them from being intelligent members of society.

Lol, this brainlet bullshit is really killing academia.

Does anyone really understands Nietzsche? Most people I know have their own bullshit interpretation that they took from a blog and like to claim everyone else doesn't get it. Even different professors can't agree on it.
>>

that life is meaningless because we die and it all ends in nothing?

he ignored the possibility that technology can lead to immortality though.
>>

>that life is meaningless because we die and it all ends in nothing?

That is the conclusion he reached yes, since the metaphysical underpinnings of Western civilisation were destroyed by science. He didn't end at nihilism, he went forward and suggested that you create your own values.

>he ignored the possibility that technology can lead to immortality though.

This is a fantasy, just like flying cars and megacities from the 1950s.
>>
>>8535603
meanwhile loads of people who never cared about math contributed much more to society than you ever will, retard
>>
>>8537716
You were properly trained in math back then. Obviously not everyone must dedicate their life to math, but people should trive to learn as much as they can from every subject. I just find amusing how many math majors read literature/history/philosophy while ever humanities fagg cries when someone mentions math.
>>
>>8535896
It's nonsense. A steaming pile of shit with not a shred of empirical support. It belongs in the trash with psychoanalysis as failed ideas in psychology.
>>
>>8536266
Flying cars and megacities are possible, but no one wants them.
>>
>>8537744
Math is a precise tool. You use it, if you need it to accomplish a goal. If this goal doesn't need math, then why use it.

But unfortunately modern faggots interpret this as an invitation to disregard math, because they're to stupid to use it, and feel comfortable, or even morally superior, with it.

As another anon already posted: "to ask is to answer". Math doesn't ask.
>>
Life's main purpose is to survive. If you can't do this, then you are literally dead.
>>
Itt: Brainlets who don't understand Nietzsche
>>
Why would it be true that you have to do math to be considered intelligent? There are plenty of other challenges in existence for an intelligent mind to grapple with. People, for example.
>>
>>8535893
it's definitely whom since Nietzsche is the object of this clause
>>
>>8538671
You couldn't be more wrong. You can use math, like you can use anything to your own advantage. That doesn't mean the purpose of something comes from its use. A mathematician primarily asks questions regarding math itself, and application is just a natural consecuence of it.
