Yes it is. The other stuff is just sort of pointless and unnecessary modeling for hypothetical situations. Stats is good because it can be used to build precise models for real life and then the math monkeys can go plug in all their hypotheticals and mash models together and jack off and fling poo at each other. Stats is like a dad making toys for his retarded children.
Which degree does /sci/ finds better, Applied Mathematics or Statistics?
How can you say things like that, when the great prophet Wildberger is out there building the pinnacle itself?
How do I fuse my physics degree with stats to make oodles of dough?

This needs to be answered, /sci/

I love how /pol/ busts a nut over statistics when it involves crime rates committed by race but calls it a instrument of the jews when it makes them feel unhappy.

>the guy who gave trump a 30% chance and defended how high his odds were is a "cuck"
Why are right wingers so easily upset and cucked by literally nothing? Nate Silver's work was fine.

Because anything under 50% is 0% and everything over 50% is 100%

That's the beauty in statistics, you're never wrong!
