I think this because if you go directly to your pharmacist and tell him "nigga I got a headache" he can hit you up with some pills but if it turns out you need surgery that nigga ain't going to know shit about healing you. All he knows is the theory of "If sick, apply medicine. If sick after medicine, apply more medicine. If not sick after more medicine, god job".

And they earn less than doctors.

And their education path is probably not as soul sucking as medicine so probably pharmacists still have souls, contrary to MDs.

pharmacists aren't supposed to diagnose you and doctors don't sell pills. its just a division of labour. i do agree though that i prefer the idea of pharmacists as people to doctors.

Hmmm, well, a Pharmacist is still a very important part of a healthcare team. Without Pharmacists, drug consultation would not be possible and neither would prescription medicines (because let's be honest, Doctors know very little about the biochemistry of the medicine they're prescribing; they just know when to prescribe it)

Really? You seriously think an AI can give patients advice, ring insurance companies and Doctors, identify which patients need which medications, attach the correct dosage to the box, and rectify any mistakes the doctor has made?

Artificial intelligence can't be coded for an infinite number of possibilities. If anything, it's the Pharmacist' assistant that will be replaced.

At least in my area doctors do very little. It's the 'nurse practioners' that get the grunt work while the doctors play golf and jerk off in the break room.
