That's how humanity works. No society has ever provided readily available upward social mobility. Market capitalism has done a better job than any other system; consider that 80-86% of American millionaires are self-made.

There's always some money in perpetuating the illusion of the dream. There needs to be some examples of that it is possible to become rich or people will lose their will to fight. It is not in the interest of the rich that the poor lose their drivers to work because then their money would lose its value.
