How do I get into astrophotography? I know literally nothing about regular photography
bump
I signed up for an astrophoto citizen science project and they said you need at least an 8 inch dob. But when I look at what is actually observable through it, it seems to be extremely underwhelming.
Hello fellow astrophotography enthusiast!
Astrophotography is a very fun niche, if you want to learn more about it, I visited the reddit /r/ astrophotgraphy side bar which has useful information, and their are countless tutorials online. Instead of getting a telescope and mounts, I would learn how to make photos with a simple DSLR camera, understand ISO's, different types of exposures, and such, then I would move up to telescopes, but that can get pretty expensive. Taking pictures in an urban area is not that good, so leaving the city is always best, for new photos.
One of my first photos.
