Why can't we adapt to climate change 50 years from now rather than prevent it? Climate change prevention costs billions of dollars and puts millions out of work.

>adapt

You mean evacuate all the millions of people from all the coastal cities? And completely move all crop farms as well?
>>
>>8468949

>You mean evacuate all the millions of people from all the coastal cities?

Why not? There are huge swaths of land for them to migrate to.

>And completely move all crop farms as well?

We'll have fucking lab-grown food by the time it's necessary.
>>
>>8468951
>Why not?

This will almost certainly be comparable or even worse than the cost of preventing climate change.

>We'll have fucking lab-grown food by the time it's necessary.

LOL

>This will almost certainly be comparable or even worse than the cost of preventing climate change.

Certainly not. You're discounting the level of technological progress we'll have made by the time climate change becomes outwardly dangerous. Worrying about climate change in 2016 is like worrying about manure-filled NYC streets in 1894. You're wasting money on a problem that will inevitably be solved by technological adaptation.

>LOL

So this won't happen in 50-100 years? Care to detail why?

>So this won't happen in 50-100 years? Care to detail why?

It's possible that it will exist, but you're talking about betting humanity's future on an unproven technology. It will probably take a lot longer than that to come anywhere near to replacing current food production methods. All evidence shows that the current climate trends are affecting things NOW and at a far faster rate than we are equipped to handle.
>>
oceans are NOT going to massively rise
Farm land is not going to fucking disappear, if anything it'll be the opposite that deserts will disappear

Neither of these things are problems for white countries.
>>
>>8468989

I think we should focus on the present rather than the far future, as there is no supreme evidence of near-term climate change dangers (as in, 20-30 years). In the present we have millions out of work and billions of dollars being potentially thrown away.

-Pacific islands have already begun to be flooded
-the permafrost in Russia is melting, which could release pathogens (smallpox IIRC)
>>
>>8468997

>Neither of these things are problems for white countries

Research soil erosion and sinkholes anon.
>>
>>8468940
Are we also going to just adapt to reduced crop yields?

Looks like our paid climate thread starters may soon get demoted to useful idiot status.
How did the climate conjurors manage to hypnotize so many people?
>>

>Climate change prevention costs billions of dollars and puts millions out of work.

Because adapting to it costs more? Retard.
>>
>>8469041
neither of which is caused by "climate change" m8
>>
>>8468940
The cost of mitigation is not even comparable to the cost in damages. We will lose far more.

You also somehow pretend that money is more important than millions of lives.
>>
>>8469231

Of course they are. Are you dumb?

You're discounting the trillions of dollars put into the development of those port cities over decades that will go down the drain. Economies would be devastated and rebuilding international trade would cost so much more than just dealing with climate change now.

Fuck off globalist kike, this is America, we don't need or want international trade
