It's like when you're pissed during an argument and you can argue better.
Retrieval of words is faster and you register the conversation eidetically.
When you meditate a lot you can juggle mathematics better in your head.

Honestly, meditation and chess work wonders, playing Dual-N-back is the only thing proven to increase working memory up to a standard deviant over time. Adderall causes oxidative stress over time and is neurotoxic in high doses, and it forces you to ignore things that your body needs I.e.food, water and sleep. I used to take adderall and play chess and preform much worse, IMO it just gives you a dopamine rush and that in and of itself helps people do things they wouldn't normally WANT to do. The number one problem in healthcare of older people is cardiovascular disease which adderall facilitates. Basically don't be lazy and if you want to grow as an individual exercise your mind and body there is no other way.
