can someone walk me through how sqrt(17/2) can be turned into sqrt(34)/2? i'm in calc 2, yet little shit like this confounds me.
sqrt(17/2)
sqrt(34/4)
sqrt(34)/sqrt(4)
sqrt(34)/2
sqrt(17/2)
= sqrt(17) / sqrt(2)
[sqrt(17) / sqrt(2)] * [sqrt(2) / sqrt(2)]
= [sqrt(17) * sqrt(2)] / 2
= sqrt(17 * 2) / 2
= sqrt(34) / 2

>qrt(17/2) can be turned into sqrt(34)/2
sure its easy.
sqrt(17/2) = sqrt(17*2/(2*2)) = sqrt(34/4) = sqrt(34)/sqrt(4) = sqrt(34)/2
17/2=34/4

Happens to everyone at some point, just keep truckin' and don't let it get you down.

What if he's just literally retarded?
Don't give him false hope or he'll keep getting disappointed all his life

don't joke, bro. I am literally the dumb kid in school. I C'd my way through k-12, not only due to having attention problems, but also because I just couldn't grasp math. Fast forward a decade and I'm now on my second degree in an engineering school. It's been fucking tough, but i'm better at calc than basic algebra at times.
It's painfully obvious I missed some basics when things like this baffle me.

>open paint
>type 'math'
>save file
>print file
>literally hold the paper
You have now grasped math
