You don't know what new mistakes will be created by not falling for the old mistakes. Like curing a minor disease with a drug that ends up causing you to get cancer. That aside I don't see the appeal to reliving your life even if there were lots of things you could do better and you knew doing things that new way wouldn't create new problems. It'd still mean having to sit through lots of shit you had put behind you all over again. School for example wasn't just a matter of knowing the right answers. Most of the hassle of school is how much busy work you had to go through. Even with perfect knowledge it's still obnoxious to have to write papers and fill out many multiple textbooks' worth of artificial / academic problems. I barely had enough energy to put up with that the first time around. How would you be able to force yourself to do all that work the second time?
