What does /sci/ think about Brian Greene?
>>8422167
I watched an interview a while back where he said he would be fine if string theory was proven to be invalid. He said he wouldn't feel like he had wasted his time. I personally think he an a bunch of other theorists would hang themselves if that were to happen.

shitty pop science guy who has perpetuated the biggest unproven meme field of all time
>>8422169
well that makes me think a little bit higher of him. he's still a popsci memespouting faggot, though
with respect to the OP's pic, I always thought that [math]\big\{^{ij}_{k}\big\}[/math] was a wierd notation for christoffel symbols.
but I guess if onestone used it then it is based.
I find him to be altogether more amicable and less memey than either B.S.M. or Doctor Naruto.
relative to the bozos he's up against, he does pretty well, and really, isn't that all we could ever ask for?
What shitpost message do you have for him /sci/?

Memespouting is fine. Is actually a fanned good theoretical physicist and mathematician though. Just not as active anymore because he spends a lot of time for publicity and his family. Definitely better at math than every math phd/of On this board, I can tell you that much.

Ask him to post here.

Tell him we would enjoy it if he did an AMA in reddit.
>>8424600
Tell him: Read Elegant Universe. Was good.

I would pay serious money to see Brian Greene hold up a noose and longingly whisper "my final string theory..." before hanging himself with it.

I'm very sceptical on this, what is your evidence?
If you're physicist it's 80% wrong. I hate how physicists always praise stupid mathematical things, walk around them like it's extra-hard and are overwhelmed by anyone who gets it on the level it should be understood. They're undereducated in math and visibly mathematically defective. Although the greatest physicists were never this pathetic. I'm sorry for physicists.
