You don't, due to the pressure differential, assuming the tank is setup right.

While I suspect it'd be a bit different if you physically cut the connections, the brain would probably simply create false sensory data, which is what happens with phantom limb syndrome and the like. It would likely not be pleasant, would almost certainly lead to all sorts of hallucinations, but it wouldn't be fatal.

Now, growing up that way would be an entirely different issue. Probably wouldn't be possible... The brain can create all sorts of worlds from memory, but if it has none to begin with...
