There should be some agreement between most influential ones and they should produce lectures on most subjects, in English, done right, in the best way.
They should be available online free along with some problems.
If you are interested in something you watch it on your own, for free, in a convenient time.
Isn't it ridiculous that you have to meet with other people to actually learn things? Your feelings should not be important as the science is objective.
So now, most universities copy in an inefficient way courses seen abroad. This is waste of time and scarce resources.
University, especially funded by the state, is a redundant monstrosity.

possibly all online with evaluation of progress

There's a psychological thing that makes meeting with others to study something easier.

Thank you for your cooperation.
People like the experienc of going away to university to learn something. People learn more effectively that way, or at least they believe they do. They also enjoy the social and networking aspects as much if not more than the actual learning, which you can't get hunched over your computer for 8 hours a day.
You can go on and on about how all online courses would result in a more efficient transfer of knowledge, but you're missing the forest for the trees. For the majority of the people who go to university, it's about the full experience, not just the few hours a day they spend in the classroom. As long as people value this full experience, they will continue to pay for it, and/or support governments that provide it.

well, I prefer not to be a slave but do I have a choice?

you realize that universities are research institutions right?

You are autistic. An important part of learning happens through discussing things with other people, from the undergrad level to the research level (maybe even more at the research level, because there is so much more material to know and so little time). One of the great things about grad school is that you can strike a conversation with anyone and they'll probably be happy to explain what they're working on, discuss it with you, give you intuition, references etc., which makes it a much more efficient way of getting familiar with a subject than reading dozens of books.
Universities aren't just for teaching undergrads you know, they do research

> substituting to someone else important theorem
> producing heaps of unordered bullshit "no one has ever done"
> spewing inomprehensible computations no one will ever read, not even the reviewer
> research
You know research institutes are for serious stuff. But even they sometimes....

How though?

1. It's fucking hard to stay disciplined on your own without some kind of incentive or disincentive
2. Learning from a live teacher is actually way more efficient. You need 1) a lesson plan and 2) to be able to ask someone questions. What if you get stuck? Arguably someone could create dynamic enough software and study materials to alleviate this, but it's probably gonna take a while. No reason to put in all that work for free.

how exactly do you think research gets done? you work by yourself, come up with an experiment, run it entirely on your own, spend years analyzing the data without consulting any other experts, then submit it to a journal where after a quick spelling/grammar check they publish it with no real revisions?

OP, go off the internet for a while and imerse yourself in something, anything that isnt immediately emotionaly gratifying.
You might just learn something, or atleast build some character.
