Is it possible to recover from brain death? If yes, would the brain get "reseted"?

No. Simply not possible.

Poor Dick, years haven't been kind to him.

not yet :^)

This could be possible since your neurones aren't destroyed when you die. Your body just isn't capable of supporting it anymore

Would there be continuity of consciousness?

If not, then you are back to the old philosophical questions about the Star Trek Fax Machine transporter.

Presently I'm fairly sure no, though how much that's just because by definition brain death is a permanent cessation of brain activity I'm not sure.

If brain death is defined as permanent cessation of brain activity then no, you can't recover from it.

What classifies as dead though keeps getting pushed back further and further via medical advances in saving nearly dead people.

This begs the question: does being dead simply mean we're unable to revive someone?

> implying CRISPR will make a difference
do you want to revive your grandma or something?
>>
brain death means your brain is dead i.e. dead dead so no.

I wonder if he'll reconsider his stance on God as he nears death.

Pascal's wager and all.

Is pretty retarded since it can be used equally well against every position

only a healthy brain can be resetted e.g. using ultrasonic
