We waited years for this?
Blunder of the year.

As Juno approached Jupiter on August 27, 2016, it's Jovian Infrared Auroral Mapper (JIRAM) instrument captured the planet's glow in infrared light: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9TtSCkoERw

Jupiters pole looks ugly.
How come Saturns looks much nicer?

Almost as if the whole idea of a camera was just an after-thought to please pop/sci/ and doesn't really affect the main science part of the mission.
I love pretty pictures of shit just as much as the next guy, but thats not really why we sent it there.
Don't diss Jupiter's sexy butt!

Eh, sortof.
It's worth remembering that most of the science from these kind of projects gets done AFTER the data is collected. They might not have had a specific goal for the camera when the launched Juno, but I bet SOMEONE will find an interesting use for that data anyway.
Why don't we see the the same hexagonal partern on Jupiter's poles than we do on Saturn? Does it have anything to do with the moons' gravity causing tidal intereferences?

Saturn is the 6th planet so it gets to be spooky like that. Saturn also have 6 letters, 6*10^26kg mass, 60km scale height and 60K radius ;)

I was going to laugh at your post until my brain chogged on to the fact a hexagon has six sides.
