Has anyone here moved abroad for their PhD studies? Going to be applying to physics related programs and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions or stories. There's surprisngly little info online.
I don't really speak any other languages right now other than junk Spanish and Italian. What percentage of work/life can be conducted in English when you're in a STEM graduate program?

They're a diamond dozen these days. Too inflated in today's meme market to be worth it
You should have some particular departments in mind that you want to apply to and on their websites they ought to have information about how things work for international students.
Though you're probably better off going to a school in the Anglosphere anyway unless a random Italian department is top tier for your niche, or you're too mediocre for the best schools.
