This company is turning into a disaster like Theranos. BMW and Chevy have released new generation electric cars that rival his own models. His gigafactory seems like a sham and creating batteries is not enough.

It's supposed to make more lithium-ion batteries than the rest of the world combined. They've got customers lined up around the block for those batteries, even if they weren't planning to put them in cars (which they've also got customers lined up around the block for them). How is it a sham?

The Gigafactory is way more capacity then Tesla needs for cars and Powerwall. They are also planning on selling batteries to other car companies.
