idk if this is the right place. Is it possible to expand a basement for a home theater ?
No. There are giant steel support columns at the edges of your walls and you can't remove them without demolishing your home and spending 9999999$ on it.

It depends on the propert.
You'll need to hire a surveyor to determine that.
idk maybe

Yes, it is possible. You should definitely not do it yourself though, your house might collapse. Google "rich people basement wars" or something if you want inspiration.

The fuck kind of question is this? Why is the second half relevant?

As long as you don't remove load bearing walls, you should be fine.

/sci/ doesn't actually know how to do anything. go ask /diy/.
just dig downwards 50 metres or so and then dig outwards until you're satisfied with the amount of space. it'll be comfy and you'll have all the space you want. your neighbours won't be able to tell that you're beneath them.

Only if P=NP, so until someone solves that issue we'll never know
