I see, but respiratory or cardiovascular pathologies that can be viewed in X-ray are not diagnosed based on the bones. I thought OP was asking for other medical applications (as you can see in the picture, all thoracic organs can be seen clearly, not just the bones)

Very cheap, very effective diagnostic tool that allows you evaluate the thoracic cavity fairly thouroughly.

I can see the patency of your major airways, if there are any fractures in the bones of your chest, evaluate your heart in terms of size, shape, appearance, evaluate the major blood vessels of your chest to a limited degree, evaluate the lungs and lung tissue fairly throughouly, looking for infections, cancer, foreign bodies, deposits of bad stuff or air where it shoudlnt be, evaluate your diaphragm, and evaluate for some specific abdominal pathology (mostly free air from a perforated viscus),

Chest xrays are a fantastic screening tool, and are often diagnostic in themselves. But for definitive answers for a chest xray finding most docs would get a chest CT which is more $, way more radiation exposure.
