the imaginary part of [math]f^*g[/math] is the cross product. (real part is dot prod of course)
so
[math](f^*g)' = f^*'g+f^*g' = -3t^{-2}(t-ie^{-t}) +( 3t^{-1}+i)(1+ie^{-t})[/math]
Just taking the imaginary part now
[math]3t^{-2}e^{-t} + 1+3t^{-1}e^{-t}[/math]
