Arid Sun Edition

>EL NINO UPDATE
El Nino ist tot. La Nina chances this Winter are increasing. Development likely this late summer into autumn. More at http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/enso_advisory/ensodisc.html

>What is Summer?
Summer is the warmest of the 4 seasons. Meteorologically, it is the months of June, July and August (December, January and February in the Southern hemisphere). It is caused by the increase of daylight time and the Sun's higher altitude in the sky, allowing more solar radiance to be received.

>How hot will it be this summer?
There are many long range forecast sites on the web. Here are a few... http://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=cfs-mon&region=global&pkg=T2maMean_month&runtime=2016062406&fh=3&xpos=0&ypos=184

What is your favorite season?

Mine is Spring.

Let's try this again- I'm working in a Mountain Met lab and I've been doing some visualization work on thermally driven flows. This is from the model work that my post-doc adviser was doing, feel free to ask me anything.

(just remembered that that graphic technically isn't my property, sorry. Still feel free to ask any questions, related to either the modeling technique or what I'm working on.)

mine is autumn.
I don't get sweaty, I don't get cold.

Favorite season is winter. Summer's so hot I spend almost no time outside, and Spring/Autumn can still be uncomfortably hot. In Winter spending time outside isn't a problem, and if it gets cold I can just dress warmer; in the other seasons, I can't take off my skin when it gets past 25 Celsius.

your pic literally has the explanation for that.
Also women prefer summer.
Men don't tolerate heat nearly as much.

Winter is too cold imo, especially in europe.

Winter
The cold never bothered me anyway.
>>
>>8162712
I read "autism" and was so confused.

About that pic:
Keep in mind that in several countries in the Middle East they have for a long time lied about temperature. The reason is that if temperature exceeds 50 C workers can take the day off. Mysteriously temperature thus never exceeds 50 C it just stays at 49.9 C

>The cold never bothered me anyway.
Mostly the same here though at -30 C I really don't want to get out of bed.
>>

That would explain some stuff I've seen while looking at that regions temp records. The pic is from the Global Forecast System which relies on satellite data done in advanced too.

The US overall has much more continentality than Europe, which causes the greater amount of variations between sunny and cloudy. Also more than half of it is in the subtropics (below 40*N or 36.30*N). Europe's mainland is heavily influence by the Atlantic which gives in the more cloudy oceanic climate, it's also higher in latitude as a whole.

Note: both use the 0*C/32*F isotherm for the temperate/continental climate cutoff. The -3*C or 27*F isotherm reflect "snow" climates better.

Since manual labour is beneath these Arabs they hire workers from Pakistan, China, Philippines, Nepal etc. and then worker welfare is not an issue.
