is the electromagnetic spectrum a natural resource?
>>
>>8131632
No
>>
>>8131652

why
>>
>>8131632
Fake image. Human eye can only see 3 waves: red, green and blue. All other colors is just mix of 3. Violet, yellow and other waves not exist!
>>

not sure if troll
>>

Absolutely. Different wavelengths interact with matter in different ways. For instance, for communication only certain EM bands are transparent in our atmosphere. To prevent jamming, we need to use different frequencies (or other modulation strategies), and thus it is a finite resource. That's why we have branches of government like the FCC, so that certain bands with desirable qualities can be used for designated purposes without interference.

Those certainly aren't "waves". Rather, they're types of optic cells that are the most susceptible to certain ranges in the spectrum. Colors are not inherently physical.

Just retarted

>the human eye can't see x-rays therefore they don't exist

different anon here:

the spectrum itself is just "empty" space which can be filled up by EM of different energy levels.

Whatever it is that generates the EM would be considered the resource, not the EM itself.

Of course, the US government controls the airspace over its territory, so effectively, they own, control and sell all the EM contained within.

It's bullshit, and I hope it changes someday.

What medium do electromagnetic waves propagate through?
>>
>>8134273
Luminiferous aether
>>
If water, soil, oil, minerals are natural resources, then why air or em waves shouldn't be classified as resources too?
>>
>>8134277
The permission to transmit on certain frequencies is worth more than the waves themselves

Is this the new retarded meme, after Flat Earth and Creationism?
