I say use solar sails to ship stuff to Mars for building a colony and then plant the sails at one of the Lagrange points to continuously heat Mars.

Sure. It was even described in Accellerando. Basically you detach a part that continues on but reflect the light back into your remaining sail but now from the opposite side.

Can't wait for space pirates to roam the void between suns.
