Quality of course you fucking retard. Do you assume that Soviet rockets were made using foreign components? Of course they used their shit-tier crap. That's a question of quality between capitalism and socialism. Permanent shortage of everything forced them to use not what they needed, but what they had access to and were able to find. Also terms were important. So, if you use shit-tier components and you have them abundantly presented in a system working together it will significantly increase the overall system instability and possibility of failure. Also Soviets had a joke about their own products:

Why do you need to raise the quality if you have shortage everywhere? People will buy it even in this low-quality state, they are even going to stay in a queue for the piece of crap, because they don't have anything at all.
