Can aeromodelling be considered science?
It's an applied use of several branches of science.

Why is this declassified?
>>8048451
We F-35 now
>>8048440
Wtf, how are we seeing this? Are we all on some sort of list now or something?
>>8048451
Are you referring to something in particular? I don't see how the graphic exposes any actual sensitive information. It was apparently drawn by a non-military analyst for a magazine. All the info the graphic contains is public anyways.

Potentially. Pic related.
Model aircraft can be a convenient and inexpensive way of advancing aeronautical R&D and investigating aeronautical phenomena. It's certainly more applied than formal, but I suppose you could still call it science.

That would be robotics m8.

>>8048860
are you stating that all fly by wire planes have more to do with robotics?

I like this one better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8X-f5K0D3I
I could see these being useful with some kind of scanning array for characterizing the surrounding environment. Like you know the spinning LIDAR unit on top of the google cars? Imagine one of those on these spinning contraptions, whirling around and scanning everything around it while also being mechanically simpler.

nice, I really can't enough of these minimalist designs.
>>8048440
If I go into the aerospace degree program will they let me work on this shit?
>>8050486
I'm in first year aeronautical engineering and apparently we will work on this type of shit eventually

Enemies can do a lot with even a basic diagram. At Area 51 the guys working on the SR-71 Blackbird left a model of the jet outside in the sun. This caused it to make a heat shadow on the tarmac which Soviet satellites picked up and they were able to trace the shape of it. From this they gleaned aerodynamic parameters and accurately predicted it's performance. All from a fucking shadow.

you are probably tinfoiling, but which is the best resolution atmosferic satelites have this days?
