>tfw even supermodels are better than you at computer programming
Is there a a future for people who don't program computers?
computer programmers have no future. They will remain as a deskmoney with below average pay doing overnights everyday until their soul diminishes completely and they turn into a vegetable just like any other coder :^)

Yeah I can see that. Not funny. Maybe I'm just salty since I have a bad relationship with my mom, bitch used to beat me senseless and burned me with a match once. Then I got older and kicked her ass. I still turned out smart enough to get into an elite school though.

I was wondering that too. My guess is they want to do web stuff and bought into some residual Ruby on Rails hype and aren't aware everyone moved onto Node.js. That said, Ruby isn't a bad language, in many ways it's better than JavaScript, especially for someone new to programming since JavaScript is batshit sometimes.

in Kloss' defense, I think the whole point is to get women interested in programming. Of course it's going to be simple shit like hello world, and compute the sum of two numbers programs. I don't think she ever pretended like she was doing any serious development.
>>8017558
Computing the sum of two numbers would be fine if it was done in some sort of neat roundabout way with stack manipulation maybe...
python
def add(a, b):
sum = a + b
return sum
should not be applauded, come on.
>>8017569
Mostly playing devil's advocate here, btw.
Going to mention again that I think the whole point is to get complete noobs into programming (targeting women, who have likely never programmed in their life). So yeah, that silly little function is appropriate.
