Stop lurking on 4chan and try to learn the math behind ?

Stop being a dick.
OP, dont listen to him. What you need to do is lurk 4chan 24/7 until you achieve mathematical nirvana.

take any stats class.

This.
Don't listen to the first poster, OP. He's just a sick fuck who gets off on passing off his useless opinions.
I've been here for over 2 weeks now, and let me tell you that shit you posted is like second grade math to me at this point. Just keep coming back and you'll be at my level too some day

Reddit-tier upboat """"""""humor"""""""" aside, does anyone know of a good stats/probability book that won't fuck around with flipping coins for too long before getting into stuff like the OP?

All of Statistics: A Concise Course in Statistical Inference (Springer Texts in Statistics)

Every mathematical statistics book I've been recommended has been bad.
Just google some lecture notes on "mathematical statistics" or "introduction to mathematical statistics" and pick the lecture notes from one of the university links.
Cambridge for example have theirs online.

Looks good, thanks
