Oy kiddos,
did you ever realize that some people's memories are in color, while most people remember everything in black and white?
>Be at a kebab with a friend
>TV shows shitty turkish love songs
>Make fun of "remember" scene in love song because black and white
>Friend tells me she remembers everything in b/w
>TFW
What about you? Are your memories on old-fashioned black and white or do you remember things in Ultra HD true color?
Do you have any explanation for this?
>>7998926
>memories in black and white
dafuq?
I didn't know it was possible...
>>7998926
>most people remember everything in black and white?
What? Do you have a source to back that up?
Did more than just one friend even tell you this?
I can't say this is true for me, at all.
OP here
By now I asked all my friends and colleagues. Around 70% say that their memories are in b/w
I don't remember visual imagery in the first place. I remember events, not pictures of events.
>>7998955
Probably just a leading question. I have not heard of such a thing whatsoever nor can I find anything stating so.
>>7998957
This
Fuck... I remember in color, but after reading this I just started remembering in black and white...
>>7998966
This.
Both of my parents and two of my sisters have black and white memories. Myself and my third sister have colourful memories... o_O
If this is true, do you think it's coordinated with IQ?
>>7998966
lol
>>7998977
Who knows. Shall we check?
> IQ of 138 here
> Colorful memories
(only data from reliable IQ tests allowed!)

>>7998974
>>7998983
Nah, no bait! I can confimr that's the case
OP here: still looking for an explanation... Not even google scholar can tell.
bw guy here. You guys LITERALLY have coloured memories?!
>>7999147
Just stop. This whole thread doesn't make any sense
>>7999198
It does, from a neuroscientific perspective. There is evidence that colorful cues are remembered much better than black and white cues.
>>7999198
Why wouldn't it make sense?
I've never thought of memories as having color or not having them
So, any scientists arount who want to do some serious research on that?
>Some memories in color
>Some memories in greyscale
Never thought about it...
just because they can't remember the color, doesn't mean their memories are black and white, that's not how the brain works.
ask her what color her shoes where last week and I'm sure she'll remember perfectly.
she is just to stupid to phrase it better and you are too stupid to rephrase it.

Let the thread die already!
