What if Planet X is a small blackhole?
ur mom is a black hole
>>7969745
What could cause a black hole of that mass?
>>7969745
That seems very unlikely - don't we already have an upper bound for it's mass?
>>7969756
ayylium
>>7970995
In theory you can get black holes of any size formed right at the start of the universe, its possible there are millions of the damn things zipping around all the time, just going to fast and being too small to notice
>>7969745
What if the moon is made of camembert?
>>7971512
Can you prove that its not?
>>7971512
Then it belongs to France.
Guess it would mean op is a fag
>>7971503
Size yes, mass not so much
>>7969745
What if dark matter is trillions upon trillions of black holes whizzing all over the place? (one is on its way here now)
>>7972045
Mass and size are the same thing for a black hole. I meant mass anyway
>>7969745
What if OP is a faggot? Oh wait...
Our solar system wouldn't be here if a black hole was that close
>>7969745
>Planet X
Which one?
>>7973754
A black hole with only a large planets mass would be really tiny, we'd only see lensing if it passed directly in front of a star while we were looking , very easy to miss
A black hole with only 10 earth masses is not something that could have naturally formed and not have had a drastic effect on our solar system.
>>7969745
Then we're very, very lucky that it doesn't exist.

> The new lightweight record-holder weighs in at about 3.8 times the mass of our sun and is only 15 miles (24 kilometers) in diameter.

>Planet Nine has a mass about 10 times that of Earth
Source: https://www.caltech.edu/news/caltech-researchers-find-evidence-real-ninth-planet-49523
Mass of the Sun: 1.989 × 10^30 kg
Mass of the Earth: 5.972 × 10^24 kg
Mass of the most lightweight black hole ever identified: 3.8 × 1.989 × 10^30 kg
Mass estimate of Planet X: 10 × 5.972 × 10^24 kg
Divide one by the other, to get 126560.
So the "Planet X is actually a black hole" theory implies it's a blackhole with 126560 less mass than the most lightweight black hole ever observed.
What do we get out of this information? I'm not sure.

I am aware we have never observed a black hole smaller than several stellar masses, i'm just pointing out black holes of any mass can theoretically exist, its not outside the realm of possiblity
>>7975734
Even big ones are extremely hard to spot, small ones would be next to impossible
>>7974632
>Diameter
I thought these things were singularities?
>>7969745
What if planet X is a wormhole and we end up doing an Interstellar-style mission to another galaxy?
>>7975751
The event horizon defines the volume
>>7975790
What occupies the space between the event horizon and singularity?
>>7975831
Whatever is falling into the singularity, its no different to the outside, its not a forcefield
