If you have a tolerance to amphetamines, you kinda ruined yourself lol, its not worth even trying cocaine at this point, you should take a prolonged abstinence from stimulants to reduce your tolerance, then try cocaine. If you wanted a natural stimulant with powerful effects, that is.

Cocaine and amphetamine both trigger a shit ton of receptors and a cross tolerance effect has been observed experimentally.

Its like >>7960055 said, the receptors themselves have different tolerance mechanisms, obviously if you have reduced receptor responsiveness at TAAR1, it won't matter for cocaine. And vice versa DAT for amp. The proper amount of drug will flip the proper amount of switches.

But if you have no fuel in the machine or the engine is damaged from use it won't do what its supposed to. You can build a tolerance to basic neurotransmitters themselves being released in large quantity like dopamine and serotonin you know...
