Hello /sci/ I want to make a rendering engine, and i lack good literature/videos or any kind of sauce on triangular mesh data structures, any advice where to find some ?
If you're serious about it at this time you should be looking into something SVO based. Look into Vulkan.

I kinda prefer tri-meshes because of processing techniques, also want to implement retopology,am i missing the point ?

imo voxels, especially in SVO rendering, are just plain superior - 'if only we had the power for it', has been the historic caveat. key word 'historic' - we just about do have the power, now (again, especially in a good SVO renderer).
i think this is the inevitable future of CG, one major reason being how much easier it'll make content creation. raw sculpts and 3D scans. basically the limiting factor moves from CPU/GPU to HDD/RAM space and speed.
what about jaggies ?

This book is very good, and free. Describes mesh data structures, point clouds and some modern techniques for conversion/rendering/operating in detail.

Meshes have more optimization. And you can convert between the two anyway. OP is implementing an engine, not doing research on point cloud processing though.
