What would happen if a generator had the magnetic field used to generate current powered by the generator?
If the spinning coil was started off with an extremely high speed before the magnetic field was given a kickstart, could that create a magnetic flash due to the feedback loop of how fast angular momentum is turned into current?

the self-excited generator is the normal case
and nothing unexpected would happen

Normal?

why not?

I mean, I didn't think it was normal for generators to be self excited, and of course the only use of self-excited generators would be to get all the power out of an already-fast-spinning flywheel suddenly rather than gradually.

Look up John Searl. You won't regret it.

I regret it already

Even worse than the timecube guy in that he almost sounds intelligible enough for someone to believe it.
